Chelsie Winston is a Licensed Professional Counselor that has been in practice working with individuals, couples, and families for over ten years. She obtained her Masters of Science degree in Mental Health Counseling from Monmouth University. She has completed a certificate program in Marriage and Family Counseling and Abuse and Trauma Counseling to further her knowledge and expertise in these areas. She specializes in working with adolescents and adults of all ages. Chelsie also has clinical experience working with those who have co-occurring mental health and addiction issues as well as eating disorders.

 

She utilizes the therapeutic techniques of cognitive behavioral therapy, motivational interviewing, and a client-centered approach to increase self-awareness, insight and identification of personal strengths within her clients. Chelsie is devoted to working with her clients to help them achieve their goals and learn techniques to overcome obstacles.

Marina holds a Bachelor's degree in Forensic Psychology from John Jay College and a Master's in Social Work from Fordham University. She brings both a strong academic foundation and deep compassion to her therapeutic work. Marina believes that every person has the ability to reclaim their life even in the most challenging times. 

 

Marina works with adults navigating generalized anxiety, depression, grief, caregiver stress, chronic medical illness, and the lasting impacts of trauma. Whether you're coping with a recent loss, healing from emotional burdens, or adjusting to a major life change, Marina aims to meet you where you are to guide you forward. Together, you'll explore your emotional landscape and strengthen your coping abilities. Marina tailors treatment using a variety of modalities - including cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), trauma-informed approaches, supportive counseling and life review- based on your unique needs and goals. 

 

Marina holds a special passion for working with older adults, supporting them through life transitions, grief, and caregiving challenges. Her background includes extensive experience in palliative and hospice care, helping individuals and families find comfort, connection, and meaning during critical moments. 

 

Marina's therapeutic style is warm, collaborative, and empowering. She wants you to feel safe and understood, to grow comfortable with your own vulnerability and to use it as a foundation for strength. 

 

Marina enjoys listening to music and attending concerts, escaping into a historical fiction book or show and gardening. These personal joys help her stay grounded- and she encourages you to find your source of fulfillment.
